Watch our Mystic Mermaids swim amongst their sea life friends, all while teaching about the importance of taking care of our environment. This family-friendly, interactive show is choreographed to music and is performed in the Aquarium Restaurant.

They Swim with Sharks!
The Mystic Mermaids perform in a tank alongside black-tipped sharks, barracudas, green moray eels, and even a Queensland grouper, which can grow over 800lbs!
No Scuba Gear, No Problem
These mermaids free dive—no goggles, no weights, and no underwater air supply. They perform entirely on breath-hold, even in saltwater that’s hard to see through!
CPR Certified & Rescue Trained
Every Mystic Mermaid is CPR certified and trained in emergency water evacuation rescue techniques.
Mermaid Bootcamp is Real
To become a Mystic Mermaid, candidates must pass a rigorous water evaluation:
- Swim 200 yards (timed)
- 50-yard butterfly stroke (timed)
- Timed underwater endurance
- A live performance evaluation in the exhibit
Eco-Warriors of the Sea
Their shows are choreographed to music and include messages about ocean conservation and recycling, especially geared toward kids.
Chilly Waters
The tank water is kept at a brisk 78°F—refreshing for fish, but a challenge for mermaids!

Join us for an exclusive breakfast event with our Mystic Mermaids in the Aquarium Restaurant! Several dates held throughout the year. Tickets/reservations required.
PERSONALIZED DIVE SIGNS
A scuba diver in the dining tank adds a unique memory for any occasion. Our diver will hold a sign to convey your special message. Keep the sign to commemorate the occasion.
